The Great Canadian Sox Co, established in 1934, is Canadian owned
and operated. J.B Field’s is our flagship brand and is one of the oldest companies in Canada! It was originally set up to manufacture socks for the logging industry, but now focuses on outdoor adventure and thermal socks for temperature up to -30, -40 and -50 C. With the goal to make the world’s most extreme cold weather socks we continue manufacture in Toronto, Canada. In doing so we can guarantee the best quality, functionality, style and comfort all while supporting local jobs.

These are amazing wool socks for being active outdoors when it’s -35! They offer enough support and grab to stay up, but have a tone of warmth and since they are wool they stay warm even if your feet sweat. I wouldn’t use anything else… Unless it’s -45, then I go to a pair of their even heavier socks. Great quailty, geat company. Just buy yourself a pait or two.

I’ve been wearing Hiker GX socks since 2008 and wear them almost exclusively in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. I have about 10 pairs in rotation right now. They are soft, comfortable, and form fitting in the right places so they don’t bunch up. With proper washing and drying, I’ve had them last as long as 8 years (cold water wash on delicate and hang dry – DO NOT throw them in dryer). Totally worth every penny! They keep your feet warm and dry no matter the weather.

For the percentage of merino these babies are for the price, these are the best merino socks my husband and I have found on the market!
